Yes, all MTOP Associates are entitled to asylum or subsidiary protection and are therefore on an equal footing with Austrians in the labour market. They do not need an employment permit (§ 1 para. 2 lit. a AuslBG).
MTOP Associates have completed their studies or training and are motivated to start or continue their career in the Austrian labour market. They bring international experience and intercultural competence as well as perseverance and the ability to adapt to new environments.
Yes, MTOP Associates have a German level of B1 or higher. Since our content is taught in German in all workshops, webinars and coaching sessions, Associates also noticeably improve their German language skills during the programme. When an Associate starts a new job in a German-speaking work environment, there is usually another big leap in development.
Most of our applicants find out about MTOP through social media or their friends. We also cooperate with other associations and governmental organisations to raise awareness of what we have to offer.
For a successful onboarding, we are happy to share a few tips that have proven themselves in our experience and are easy to implement. We are also happy to support companies in the implementation and monitoring if required.
Use simple language. Everyone knows it: starting a job is demanding, you get a lot of information and you have to quickly find your way in a new environment and understand processes and structures. Therefore: speak slowly and preferably without dialect. Emphasise that if you don't understand something, you are welcome to ask.
Buddy programme: In addition to professional integration, integration into the team is very important. It helps to have a buddy as a confidant in the daily work routine for not (only) professional, but above all for informal topics. Team building also promotes sustainable social integration.
Regular feedback from a supervising person during the first three months.

The costs vary depending on the duration, topic and number of participants. We will be happy to provide you with an individual offer. A 90-minute online workshop costs €400.
We only charge a placement fee in the case of employment after the first month of work.
